Johnson Odongo: Gaddafi sign former Police midfielder

Gaddafi Modern FC have continued to boost their squad with the addition of former Police FC attacking midfielder Johnson Odongo.

Odongo was officially unveiled on Saturday and he joins from Police FC, a side he has been for the last four seasons.

Previously, the attacking midfielder played for Kibuli united and Water FC before crossing to Police FC in 2018.

He is the latest addition for the jinja based side after midfielder Charles Musiige and left back Sadiq SSekyembe, who were earlier unveiled on Friday this week.

Musiige and Ssekyembe will be reuniting with their former coach Wasswa Bbosa, with whom they worked with while at Express and won the league title in the 2020/21 season.

Earlier this year in June, the club appointed Wasswa Bbosa as head coach for the incoming season and he will assisted by George Lutalo and Zungu Hassan as first and second assistant respectively.

Last season, Gaddafi who were debutants in the top flight league finished in the 8th position with 37 points.

Now under an experienced coach in Bbosa and these new signings, Gaddafi will be hoping for better performances and compete in their second season of the Uganda Premier League.
