Uganda Premier League side Express have signed Benjamin Gakumba on a three-year deal, the Club has confirmed.

The 19-year old, a defender, has played for Mbarara University in the University Football League.

He is the second signing at the club who also confirmed former Kigezi Home Boys attacking midfielder Bitakazibwa Kada.

Youngsters David Lukwago and Hassan Mubiru have been promoted from the Junior team.

Eric Kambale’s imminent deal to Al-Merrikh (Sudan) is still pending while striker George Ssenkaba joined URA FC.

Murushid Juuko is among the long list of players who have left the club.

John Toki Byamukama, Sadiq Ssekyembe, Charles Musiige, Chrispus Kusiima, Mahad Yaya, Mustafa Kiragga and Godfrey Lwesibawa are the other exits.

Express also earlier confirmed James Odoch as a permanent coach after taking the reigns midway last season following Wasswa Bbosa’s sacking.
