Uganda’s Boxer Isaac Owen Kibira will be in the ring for the Round of 16 bout at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Tuesday.
Kibira who received a bye to reach this stage, faces off with Hossan Ali from Bangladesh.
Kibira is confident that he will do all what is required to book a place in the Quarterfinals.
“They should expect the best,” Kibira oozed with confidence.
“I have done enough preparations and I have had some research on my opponent so people should just a expect a win from me.”
Kibira who came through the National Schools Championships, beat Ukasha Matovu this year to book a ticket to Birmingham.
He won silver after losing 2:1 against Shaft Mandwe (Zambia) during the Kilimanjaro Championships in May in Tanzania.
Jonah Kyobe beaten by Molwantwa of Botswana in the Featherweight, Isaac Zebra Ssenyange lost to Pakela in the Light Middleweight while Yusuf Nkobeza also eliminated in Middleweight.
Joshua Tukamuhebwa is through to the Quarters after wina of John Paul Hale and Polkinghorn.
Teddy Nakimuli faces Joo Haghighat on Wednesday before Tukamuhebwa return in the ring against against Sanford of Canada.
