Uganda’s Boxer Joshua Tukamuhebwa progressed to the round of 16 after a win over Northern Ireland’s John Paul Hale at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games on Friday.
The Bombers captain beat Hale 3-2 on points in a fight he showcased his skill and stamina as he landed hard left punches.
Standing in his way is Australian Billy Polkinghorn, with the duel set on Sunday at 1:15pm.
Polkinghorn will pose a much bigger challenge after knocking out his opponent, Fabio Taryll Liam Roselie (Seychelles) just after 30 seconds.
On Saturday, Isaac Zebra Ssenyange will face Lesotho’s Pakela Arena while Jonathan Kyobe meet George Molantwa at the round of 32.
