Uganda’s Victor Kiplagat (Men) and Linet Chebet Toroitich (Women) will lineup in the Marathon on Saturday morning at the Commonwealth Games.

Kiplagat won bronze at the World Half Marathon Championships in Poland and will be hoping for another podium finish.

He clocked 2:05:09 this year in April at the Hamburg Marathon.

It’s strong to note that Solomon Mutai won Silver at 2018 Gold Coast after finishing behind Australia’s Michael Shelley.

Kiplagat will face strong resistance from Kenyan team that has Philemon Kacheran, Eric Kiptanui and Jonathan Korir.

In the Women’s category, Linet Chebet will be hoping for better fortunes as well.

She competed at the 2019 World Championships in Doha but failed to complete her Marathon then.

She posted 2:26:22 in Madrid this year in April.
