City Oilers consolidated their place at the summit of the National Basketball League with a deserved win over JKL Dolphins at Lugogo.
The Seven-time champions were good value for the 93-66 result having led in all the four quarters.
Ceasar Kizito top scored for Oilers with 18 points off a 7-of-13 shooting while Jimmy Enabu and Luak Ruai added 14 points each.
Mabol Makor scored a game high 21 points and added 12 rebounds. Ayiik Ayong had 18 points while Derrick Katumba contributed 9 points and 11 reboundsin a losing effort for JKL.
The Dolphins, now 8-12, struggled right from on-set and trailed 22-14 in the first quarter, and Oilers never looked back before winning by 27 points.
JKL out-rebounded shorthanded Oilers 51-39 but were pegged back by their 32 turnovers and just three points off the bench!
Oilers on the other hand collected 36 points from their bench and limited their turnovers to 13 in comparison.
It’s win number 16 for Oilers from 20 games, having played two more games than second placed UCU Canons who will be in action against Nam Blazers in an epic battle on Friday at Lugogo.
