Uganda’s representative She Corporate have learnt their group opponent at the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League Regional Qualifiers.
The draws for the CECAFA tournament where a winner will qualify for the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League, were held on Wednesday in Morocco.
She Corporate have been pitted against Tanzania giants Simba Queens, Djibouti’s GRFC and South Sudan side Yei Joint Stars.
The top two teams in each group qualify for the semis.
The tournament due August 14-27th 2022, will be played in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Lady Doves, Uganda’s representative last year were stopped by CBE of Ethiopia at the semis before they clinched third place after a 2-1 win over Simba Queens.
Vihiga Queens beat CBE to win that event, but will not be available to defend their crown following a FIFA Ban on Kenyan teams.
In preparation for the event, She Corporate have already acquired the services of Joanita Ainembabazi, Phoebe Banura and Shadiah Namata.
