Vipers have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of winger Lumala Abdu.
Lumala joins the Venoms on a three-year deal and is set for his first competitive football in three years.
He has been without a club since leaving Egyptian side Pyramids in 2019.
“I cannot wait to get started, help my teammates and myself get better. I cannot wait to meet my teammates, the coaches to get things started,” Lumala is quoted by the Vipers website.
“My target is to help my team reach the CAF Champions League group stages, the league and all the competitions we are involved in,” he added.
He is a big piece and expected to add more speed to a side that also have Milton Karisa.
This is Lumala’s first appearance in Uganda Premier League having played in Sweden for Mjallby, Kalmar, Varbegs, Helsingborgs, Vernamo and Syrianska.
He is the sixth player after Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Omadjondo Osomba and Ashraf Mandela to join Vipers.
