Excl: Express Revel In Sh151m Eric Kambale Deal

 

Express and Al-Merrikh have agreed the transfer deal of intelligent Striker Eric Kambale, The-SportsNation can exclusively report.

Kambale has put pen to a two-year contract that will see the Congolese stay at the Sudanese club until 2024.

The sources say that Express have earned $40,000, an equivalent of Sh151m.

The player will earn $45000 per year – He will get $30,000 at the start of each season plus $15000 which is divided as monthly salary.

Kambale has been training with Al-Merrikh this week and on Wednesday, he started in the Club’s friendly match against Hilal Al Sahel.

Kambale who has scored 23 goals in the last two seasons, leaves Express after helping the side win their first league title in the 2020/21 season for the first time since 2011/12 and also won the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

The last sizeable fee Express got in a transfer fee was in May 2017 when the Red Eagles got $10,000 from KCCA.

Express got Sh15m, the other fee was given to the player as he had just months remaining to end his contract by the time of his signing.

Information on Transfer figures for Allan Kyambadde to Vipers back in 2014 and Isa Muzeeyi Lumu to Asia remain scanty, but it’s believed that Express might have fetched some good money on them.
