Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have unveiled their first signing of the season.
Isa Mubiru is the new addition, a defender who joins the Venoms from UPDF FC on a three-year deal.
Having lost Aziz Kayondo who joined Real Monarchs (USA), Mubiru will be competing with Dissan Galiwango for a place at left back.
“Moving to Vipers SC is a big and important step in my life,” Mubiru told Vipers media.
“I am delighted to be joining Vipers SC at this very exciting time for the club. I’m looking forward to being a part of this experienced, dynamic squad as we challenge for honours next season.”

It’s a big and deserved move for Mubiru whose journey started at MS Soccer Academy in Namasuba before moving to Soana (and Tooro United) joining UPDF.
The club, strengthening for CAF Champions League and other competitions next season, have reportedly signed Marvin Youngman from Bright Stars and Nigerian forward Abubakar Lawal from AS Kigali.
Uganda Cranes winger Lumala Abdul is also linked to the club, while the future of their striker Cesar Manzoki remains in doubt.
