Busiro failed to capitalise on their early lead to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Kyaggwe in the 2022 Masaza Cup.
Akram Shafic Muzanyi scored for the Visitors before Hussein Ssenoga levelled matters for Kyaggwe at Nakisunga.
Busiro coach Simon Peter Mugerwa said that his team deserved to leave Nakisunga with maximum points.
“We are disappointed with the performance, because we deserved the win,” Mugerwa stated.
“We were denied by the post four times and you can tell that we took the game to Kyaggwe. We failed to put away our chances.
“But a draw against a tough team like Kyaggwe and away from home is a result we can take. We are going to back to the drawing board and see that we can win our next home game.”
Busiro have never won the Masaza Cup, having reached the final in 2019 before they were beaten by Bulemeezi 1-0 at Namboole.
Bugerere, Ssese, Busujju and Bulemeezi are the other teams in Muganzirwaza group.
