KCCA FC’s new signing Moses Waiswa has revealed the major factors behind his move to the Lugogo based club.
The former Vipers midfielder was officially unveiled at KCCA on Wednesday this week after penning a two year’s deal.
He joined the side as a free agent, after ending his spell at South African side Super Sport United.
In his first interview with the club’s media, Waiswa expressed his delighted and also revealed a number of reasons for joining the club.
“I feel great joining KCCA because its one of the best teams in East Africa. My father, Ali Waiswa, being an ex KCCA FC player was a factor that helped me male a decision to join KCCA, he told the club’s media.
He added ” KCCA being a top team, it participates in a lot of competitions in Africa and in Uganda so it will help me get the mileage I want, I have met with a few players who play for the national team at KCCA and also my former teammates who have made me fall in love with the club, the likes of Allan okello, Mustafa Kizza and some current players like Rogers Mato, Sadat Anaku.
Waiswa previously played for Vaxjo United where he was before moving to Vipers in 2017.
In July 2019, the midfielder sealed a move to Super Sport United where he has been the past two seasons.
And the midfielder expects to use that experience to help the club reach greater heights again.
“I want to use that experience of playing at the top level to help the young talents at KCCA and also help the club attain what they want.”
On his set goals, Waiswa said “I want to help the team attain the success it deserves and to also help me get were I have to be.”
Waiswa became the first signing for the Lugogo based side as they gear up for next season.
With a couple of senior players leaving the club, his addition will give head coach Morley Byekwaso more options in the midfield given his abilities going forward.
