FC Minneapolis captain Ian Sendi has undergone surgery to address an AC joint dislocation injury which halted his season prematurely.
The 31-year old former Uganda Hippos striker picked an injury on his left shoulder in the 2-2 derby draw against Minneapolis City FC on May 28 at the Breck School Stadium.
Sendi who is hoping for a possible quick return, is ruled out for up to eight weeks!
“I want to thank God for taking me through this successfully,” the forward tweeted on Saturday.
“There are those who didn’t make it but for me I did and I am giving glory back to God.”

It’s a big blow for FC Minneapolis and Sendi who has scored 24 goals and 27 assists in 73 games for the club.
FC Minneapolis, that features in the United Premier Soccer League, is fourth on Midwest Table with 16 points after 8 games.
Sendi started his career at Lungujja at Bulls Sports Club and Great Warriors before moving abroad in 2011.
