•Uganda Vs Niger – 4pm
Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredejovic has started Gavin Kizito at right back again for the Niger assignment.
Kizito was the team’s weak-link in the 2-0 loss at Algeria as he was turned into an avenue by Youcef Belaili and Rachid Ghezzal.
But there are three changes from that Algeria game as Micho goes for a 4-3-3.
Isaac Muleme, Marvin Youngman and Allan Okello pave way for Aziz Kayondo, Bobosi Byaruhanga and Fahad Bayo in the order.
The incoming trio – Aziz, Bobosi and Bayo – will be playing at a familiar territory (Kitende, home of Vipers). Bobosi is a current Vipers player while the other two are former Venoms.
Captain Emmanuel Okwi said that they are now focussed on the Niger game as Algeria loss is already in the past.
He briefly commented: “We look forward to the game against Niger on Wednesday. In football you never think about the past. You only think of what is before you and that is in the future. So we are looking forward to the game to make sure we rectify our mistakes and get the best possible result which is a win.”
Niger were held to a 1-1 draw by Tanzania in Cotonou, Benin.
