UCU came into Sunday’s game seeking to return to winning ways after falling 54-71 to title rivals and seven-time champions City Oilers on Friday.

They were on course for a win when they led 47-42 going into the last quarter, and nothing seemed could go wrong.

But KCCA who played catch up for the best period, tied the game down the stretch with Martin Buluma converting both free-throws after he was sent to the charity line by Titus Lual to necessitate overtime, 59-59.

Buluma continued to shine, scoring eight of KCCA’s 13 points in overtime as UCU went cold to fall by four points.

Buluma finished the game with 20 points, Emmanuel Odongkara scored a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds while Rin Tueny Mabor had 14 points for Brian Wathum’s charges.
