The Crested Cranes face Burundi in Group A’s last match at the 2022 CECAFA Women Championship at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
Uganda and Burundi are tied on six points but the Crested Cranes edge Burundi with a better goal difference.
And a draw in a top of the table clash will see George Lutalo’s charges remain on top.
Both sides – Uganda and Burundi – who are preparing for Women’s AFCON in Morocco later this year, have already booked their seats in the knockout.
Fazilah Ikwaput scored a brace for Uganda to get off the mark against Rwanda in their opener.
And the side beat Djibouti 5-0 in the second game, that sent them through to the semis, waiting on the other team in Group A that has South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Aisha Nantongo, Margaret Namirimu, Sandra Nabweteme, Phionah Nabbumba and Fazilah Ikwaput scored for the Crested Cranes against minnows Djibouti.
Uganda has never won the CECAFA Women Championship, and this year’s tournament presents them with a good opportunity to break the duck.
