Midfielder Marvin Joseph Youngman has been handed his first competitive start for the Uganda Cranes as Micho names the team to face Algeria.
It’s a big moment for the Bright Stars midfielder whose recent National team exploits started with regional tours before playing at the 2022 Navruz Cup.
– Five Algeria Players To Look Out
It’s been a rising curve for the former Hima FC player who also featured for Busujju and Bulemeezi in Masaza Cup before joining Bright Stars in October 2020.
He will start in the middle of the park alongside Khalid Aucho as Uganda seek to frustrate Algeria at the July 5 1962 Stadium.

Charles Lukwago gets the nod in goal, Gavin Kizito and Isaac Muleme are deployed at full back positions while Bevis Mugabi is joined by Halid Lwaliwa in the heart of defence.
Allan Okello, Milton Karisa and Farouk Miya will be expected to feed Emmanuel Okwi up front, in what looks like a safety-first lineup.

A couple of players in that team including Denis Onyango Murushid Juuko and Mike Azira have since retired from international football.
