Uganda Cranes will be without striker Fahad Bayo for their away match against Algeria.
The Israel-based striker jetted in Uganda on May 24 to join the Cranes team in Kisasi in preparations for the Algeria and Niger AFCON Qualification games.
However, The-SportsNation has established that the former Vipers striker did not fly out with the team for a training camp to Tunisia.
And so, Bayo, who added Aziz to his names, is not part of the team in Algiers!
Bayo has irregularities in his documents, and it’s reported that the names on his National ID and Passport do not match!
An effort to reach out to an official from FUFA has been fruitless given their busy schedule with the Men and Women teams at the moment.
It should be remembered that Bayo scored on his debut against Malawi in the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers.
He has scored one goal for his club Bnei Sakhin in 10 league matches he managed to play last season.
It’s a big blow for Cranes who have struggled to find goals at an enemy territory in recent past.
