Uganda Cranes Score For Fun In Practice Match

Uganda Cranes warmed up for their first 2023 AFCON Qualifiers match with a 8-1 win in a practice match against Tunisian side Hammam Sousse FC.

Farouk Miya scored an hat-trick, Allan Okello and Hakim Kiwanuka added a brace each while Martin Kizza was also on target as Cranes flipped the switch.

The match was used by coach Milutin Micho Sredejovic to properly assess his players in a match situation.

Bellagambi Giousue (Huddersfield Town, England), Kayondo Aziz (Real Monarchs USA) Mugabi Bevis (Motherwell, Scotland) and Serwadda Stephen (New York Red Bulls USA) are the latest foreign based players to join Uganda Cranes Camp in Tunisia.

Elvis Bwomono, Aucho Khalid and Derrick Kakooza are yet to join the team.

The Cranes who are on a camp in Tunisia, will face Algeria’s Desert Warriors on June 4th at the 5th July 1962 stadium in Algiers.

Uganda will then host Niger on June 8 at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
