Onduparaka Captain and Top scorer Shaban Muhammad has promised to give his whole in order to make the Uganda Cranes final squad.
Uganda Cranes are preparing for the AFCON Qualifiers – They face Algeria on 4th June in Oran and Niger at the St Mary’s stadium Kitende on 8th June.
Shaban said he wasn’t summoned to the national team by mistake but because of his performance and form because he has always worked hard to come back to the national team.
“Of course calling someone on the national team means that he has been working hard, they can’t call someone on the national team who has not been performing well,” Shaban disclosed.
“Of course I have been fighting to see that they call me and this is not the end; of course the team will be chosen according to the way we perform in the training so I will do my level best to see that I perform very well to see that I make it to the final squad but it’s all about God now but me my hardwork will take me there”.
Shaban recovered his scoring boots at Onduparaka after a disappointing season in Vipers. Only Top scorer Cesar Manzoki scored more goals than him.
“Going back to Onduparaka the fans are my family, people around me atleast motivated me to see that I come back to my form and I have also not given up, I have been working hard to see that I come back to the national team”.
Shaban Muhammad’s 15 goals helped Onduparaka finish the season in 9th place with 37 points.
