Our Saviour Overcome Ndejje For Fifth Win

Our Saviour fought back to beat Ndejje University Angels in a Tusker-Lite sponsored NBL thriller at Indoor Arena in Lugogo.

Ndejje led for extended stretches but failed to hold down the stretch to succumb their eighth loss of the season.

Our Saviour, playing catch-up for most part of the game, gained control in the closing stages to finish up the tie.

Davis Assiimwe bagged 16 points and Sam Gombya added 11 points in the winning effort.

Godwin Muhamiro (16), Haron Alinaitwe (13) and David Mayom (10) scored in double figures for Ndejje.

Moses Mugisha who filled the stat sheet with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists was named the Tusker-Lite player of the game before awarding his medal to Gombya who made strong contribution towards the end.

It’s the fifth win for newcomers Our Saviour who have lost six and will end their first round with a daunting fixture against City Oilers on Wednesday.

In the first game, Catherine Haruri scored a game high 22 points as KCCA Leopards roared over Magic Stormers.
