Mabor Makol Guides JKL Past Our Saviour

JKL Dolphins finished the first round on a high thanks to a 58-52 win over Our Saviour in a Tusker-Lite sponsored NBL game at YMCA court in Wandegeya.

Mabor Makol led the way with a game high 23 points and added 16 rebounds to complete his double-double.

Mabor who was named the Tusker-Lite player of the game, scored 13 of JKL’s 19 points in a crucial fourth quarter!

JKL led 36-27 at halftime but were limited to just three points in the third quarter as Our Saviour moved to within two points.

And Joseph Wacha opened the fourth quarter with a lay up to tie the game 39-39.

The lead exchanged hands on a couple of occasions before Mabor took over and stirred JKL to the finish line.

JKL who return to winning ways after losing to UCU Canons in their previous game, finish the first round with a 5-7 record (5 wins and 7 losses).

It’s the sixth loss for Our Saviour who still have two games to finish the first round.

Maluel Dier scored a double double of 13 points and as many rebounds for JKL.

Elton Donald Bakara and Moses Mugisha scored 13 points each while the tallest Sam Gombya had 12 rebounds in a losing effort for Our Saviour.
