*Preview: KCCA FC Seeks Double Against Wakiso Giants
KCCA FC are eager to fight for maximum points in their final game of the 2021/2022 Startimes Uganda Premier League season as they host Wakiso Giants at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Head Coach Morley Byekwaso has urged his players to put up a spirited fight as they target a win in order to put a smile on their stakeholders faces despite losing their previous game against Gaddafi FC.
“We need to end the season well. We are at home and a win at home would be something great for our stakeholders,” said Morley Byekwaso.
“As we end the season, we take away lessons with us and we know that we need to improve on our finishing as a team, technique under pressure and game management. If we organize in those areas then we will be able to compete favourably.”
Wakiso Giants who lost the first round fixture 3-0 against KCCA FC at home are targeting to return to winning ways.
The purple sharks have a lot of work to do if they are to end the season on a high after going a run of five games on a losing end.
But midfielder Moses Aliro is positive of helping his side beat his former pay masters urging his teammates to put up a spirited fight.
“First of all, we have taken many games without winning but the attitude and performance against Vipers SC in our last game was positive and we want to build on that and get a good result,” said Aliro.
Aliro returns to a club where he grew up from and only departed last season after failing to cement a starting role, he was used as a right back then.
“It’s going to be emotional for me because it’s the side where I grow up from and only been away for just this season. If I score against them, I won’t celebrate as away paying respect to the club.”
He has gone on to help Wakiso Giants win a couple of games and has been so vital in their performances which have seen them sit in the 8th position with 36points. He has scored eleven goals and assisted six goals.
KCCA FC come into this game after losing their previous game against Gaddafi FC and will target to return to winning ways. They had previously won three consecutive games.
The Kasasiro boys have only lost once at home this season and will be looking forward to maintaining a perfect home as they avoid another loss.
Wakiso Giants have gone five games without a win and their best performance against KCCA FC has been a draw in three meetings between the two sides, the rest have been loses.
