FUFA Women Super League: She Corporates Are Champions

Friday 20th May
She Corporates 0-0 Kampala Queens

She Corporates have been crowned Champions of the 2021/22 Fufa Women Super league following their goalless draw against Kampala Queens as the League climaxed on Friday.

It was a memorable day to climax the season with a game that was hugely attended by a number of officials and Uganda Cranes head coach Micho Milutin Sredejovich.

Coming into the last day, the two sides were tied on the same points (38) with only goal difference separating them.

The hosts, She Corporates, who were on top needed just a point and they did just enough on the day.

For Kampala Queens, who were second, needed all the three points but failed to find that elusive goal to pass the test at the MUBS arena.

It has been an impressive season for the Sharks, who have registered 11 wins out of the 18 games in the season. They now book a ticket to next year’s CAF Women Champions league and they will represent the country.

On Friday, it was business as usual for She Corporates. They looked composed throughout the opening exchanges and they denied Kampala Queens, who had sights on all the three points on the day.

The pair of Zainah Nandede and Margret Kunihira were pick pocketed and they barely threatened infront of goal.

But after the break, Kampala Queens started the better side as they kept hopes in search for an opener.

They had two good chances to score but Zainah Nandede saw his goal ruled out for Offside before Judith Sanyu sent her effort wide when inside the area.

But despite being at the receiving end, She Corporates remained composed throughout to deny the Visitors any other chance on goal.

And in the closing stages, Kampala Queens barely threatened and it was a plus for the hosts She Corporates to take away this year’s title.

She Corporates now earn a ticket to next year’s Women CAF Champions league.
