•Uganda win by 6 wickets
Uganda’s Women Cricket team, the Victoria Pearls, beat Nepal in the third game to win the T20 Series on Thursday.
Kevin Awino, player of the match, starred with an unbeaten stand for Uganda to take an unprecedented 3-0 lead.
Coming into Thursday’s game, Uganda had won the first two ties by 12 runs (Tuesday) and by 1 wicket (Wednesday).
Thursday’s win by 6 wickets confirmed Uganda’s triumph with two games to spare, and the two teams will be playing for pride in the Friday and Saturday games.

The Girls, despite losing the toss, did a good job to limit Nepal to just 99/8 from 20 overs.
Despite Leona Babirye, 5 off 6 balls, falling in the second over, Kevin Awino hit an unbeaten 51-ball 42 runs to see Uganda erase Nepal’s total with 10 balls to spare.
Earlier, Phionah Kulume 2-23, Consy Aweko 2-22 and Sarah Akiteng 2-16 had left Uganda with an easy total to chase.
Besides Kevin Awino and Janet Mbabazi who scored 27 off 39, none of Uganda’s bats-women managed to hit in double figures. But no one will care after the Girls earned a deserved victory as the team took an unassailable lead.
