(BUL win 6-1 on aggregate)

BUL FC beat Booma FC 1-0 at Bugembe Stadium in the second leg of the Semifinal of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Karim Ndugwa scored the only goal of the game, nodding in after a good delivery from Ivan Wani on the left flank early into the game.

The result means that BUL progress to the final with a 6-1 aggregate having won the first leg 5-1.

They will meet Vipers who beat Mbarara City 6-1 on aggregate as well in the other semifinal played.

The BUL-Vipers final due June 12 at the Masindi Municipal Stadium, is a repeat of last year’s clash that saw the Venoms win with a commanding 8-1 win.

It’s the end of a fairytale for Booma who are the guest regional league side to play in a Uganda Cup semifinal in recent memory.

They ejected Nyamityobora, Kajjansi United, Tipsa and Maroons to reach this stage.

They will now settle for Sh12m for reaching this stage in prize money.

Vipers and BUL will be fighting for Sh50m, which comes with a ticket to CAF Confederation Cup next season.
