Gaddafi Beat KCCA To Seal Stay

Gaddafi FC secured their place in next season’s Startimes Uganda Premier League after edging KCCA FC 1-0 courtesy of a Alex Kitata’s first half goal.

Kitata struck at the stroke of the first half to guide Gaddafi FC in a do or die match which ensured their stay in the top tier league.

KCCA FC had a couple of chances on goal but they failed to have composure.

Erisa Ssekisambu who replaced injured Davis Kasirye in the starting lineup had a couple of shots at goal but failed to beat goalkeeper Ronald Mutebi.

Gaddafi FC kept composure in the second stanza of the game and defended tirelessly to protect their lead in their fight for safety.

A win for the soldier boys has ensured that they move to the 9th position on the log with 34 points, beating the drop zone with six points to spare as they head into the final game of the season.

They will climax their season with an away trip against Busoga United in the Eastern derby.

KCCA FC who have succumbed to a third loss in the season will maintain their second place position as their close competitors of URA FC have also lost their fight against Busoga United.

Kasasiro boys will climax their 2021/2022 season with a home game against Wakiso Giants.
