Buganda Regional League side Young Simba’s appeal has been granted by the FUFA Appeals Committee.
The Bombo-based side was initially fined sh2M and suspended from playing at Bombo Barracks Military Ground for five League matches following acts of hooliganism and attacking match Officials in the game against Entebbe FC.
However, Young Simba was not contented with punishments and they lodged an appeal against the decision of Buganda Region Football Association Disciplinary panel passed on 14th March 2022.
According to the decisions from the FUFA Appeals Committee, they have reduced the fine to be paid by Young Simba FC from 2M to 1M.
The Appeals Committee has also reduced the suspension of Young Simba FC from playing at Bombo Barracks Playground from five League competition matches to two league competition matches.
However, the FUFA Appeals Committee maintained all other sanctions issued by the Buganda Region FA Disciplinary panel and ordered Young Simba FC to follow the due process and sanction the club fan Akoko Emmanuel who assaulted a match official.
The Snipers who sits bottom of the Katonga Group in 12th with 8 points were also docked six points and six goals.
