Andrew Kabuura, Press Box Move To NBS

It looks like Next Media Services CEO Kin Karisa won’t rest until he weakens all his media competitors.

And with the other TV stations already weakened, it’s only NTV that has always proved to be a big challenger.

The Kampala Serena Hotel based TV station has however over the years been weakened by Naguru based TV station, NBS.

And now NBS has struck NTV again by poaching one of the Nation Media group station’s renowned presenters. This is none other than renown sports show host and commentator, Andrew Kabuura.

Kabuura who has been doing a popular sports show on NTV dubbed the NTV Press-box announced his resignation on Monday 2nd May 2022 from the TV station.

The show also tweeted saying that it was coming to a brief end after four years on air and proceeded to thank all its viewers.

Meanwhile barely after tendering in his resignation, Kabuura has been spotted at the premises of NBS TV raising speculation that he has indeed been preyed upon too.

NBS CEO Kin Kariisa took to his Twitter page to drop the hint that he had finally landed another big fish from NTV.

NBS news anchor Samson Kasumba also through his Twitter page indirectly announced how they had landed Kabuura to their long list of fishes from NTV by lavishing him with compliments.

Kasumba also further did that this was a transfer window and they had landed Capital FM am-pm presenter, Flavia Tumusiime’s hubby.

Kabuura is not the first person to be poached from NTV by NBS. The likes of Douglas Lwanga, Raymond Mujuni (who later returned to Serena), Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaaya, Zahara Toto and Anatalie Ozzie, MC Kats, among others.

Next Media Services is however yet to issue an official statement in regards to Kabuura’s move.

Sources have it that Kabuura has moved with his Pressbox show that will start airing on NBS.

NTV will also air a Sports show on Monday but reports have it that Patrick Kanyomoozi will be the host, with a panel of former Pressbox members.
