The 2021/22 FUFA Big League champions Blacks Power have been crowned on Friday after clinching the title.
Blacks Power came from a goal down to beat Luweero United thanks to a Michael Siwu brace on Thursday at Akibua Stadium, a result that saw the side earn UPL Promotion.
It has been a wonderful season for Blacks Power, formerly Bukedea Town Council FC.
The team was crowned in Lira, with a couple of top FUFA officials, Club officials, players and fans present.
“I want to thank FUFA for making football present in every part of Uganda. The people of Lira are now proud to have a team in the Uganda Premier League,” said Club Shareholder Dr Bernard Ogwel who doubles as the NCS General Secretary.

“And as government there is willingness and commitment to develop sports by increasing funding, formulating good policies and improving Infrastructure.”
Ogwel gave out a Bull for roasting for celebrations that are expected to continue throughout the night.
Blacks Power finished top of the 11-team log with 39 points after 11 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses. They scored 34 goals and conceded 17.

Maroons (38) and Kyetume (37) are the other two teams that joij Blacks Power to Uganda Premier League next season.
Proline, Nyamityobora and MYDA FC were relegated to Regional league.
