St Mary’s Kitende beat rivals Kibuli SS 3-1 to reach the final of the ongoing National Post Primary Schools Championship.

And Recoba Emuron’s Kibuli never recovered from thereon, going on to concede two own goals before halftime.

Kitende went into the lead when Dawson Mafumu scored into his own goal in an attempt to block a powerful from Enock Luyima.

Kitende widen their lead before halftime in similar fashion, own goal. Najib Yiga raced a through ball, beat a defender, clipped over the keeper and the ball went in off the defender after ricocheting from the post.

The second half was scrappy, Kibuli barely threatened and Kitende held on to their lead.

It’s end of the road for record winners Kibuli SS, who knocked out Mvara after a hard fought 2-1 win at the Quarterfinals.

Edward Golola’s Kitende who eliminated Mukono High with a 4-0 scoreline, will wait for the winner between Buddo and Gombe High.
