URA FC beat Police FC 2-0 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

Cromwell Rwothomio put the visitors ahead with an early goal in the 10th minute of the game. Club captain Shafic Kagimu doubled the lead with a 49th minute second half goal.

The defeat leaves Police in the relegation zone, sitting in the 14 position with 24 points, two adrift of safety with four matches to go.

URA FC collects maximum points away from home as they returned to winning ways moving to the third position on the log with 46 points.

Cromwell put the visitors in an early deserved lead as he tapped in from close range in the 10th minute of the game after being set up by a low cut back by Joachim Ojera.

URA FC continued to dominate the first stanza as Ojera caused trouble to the Police FC defence line as he put up brilliant performances.

Police FC had a chance to equalise in the first stanza but defender Benjamin Nyakoojo put a brilliant display as he blocked a powerful shot from Juma Balinya.

With just four minutes in second half, URA FC doubled their lead as skipper Shafic Kagimu slotted in to beat Tom Ikara for the second goal of the day.

The tax collectors looked more of a threat for the most of the game as they dominated the cops of Police FC in their own yard and a 2-0 win ensured URA FC walked away with maximum points.

John Luyinda the suffers his first league loss as the head coach of Police FC he now faces a huge task a head as the cops now remain with just four games in their battle for survival.

They will face SC Villa at home, a trip to Wakiso Giants and then host BUL FC at Lugogo befor ending the season with a trip to Vipers SC in their last game.

Police FC will face a huge battle as they try to fight their way out of relegation as they will host SC Villa who are also fight for safety in their next league game.
