Pearl of Africa Rally: Two More Sponsors, 36 Crews Register

The forthcoming Shell-V Power Pearl of Africa Rally has received two more sponsors – Fire and Safety Appliances Limited and East African Chain Uganda Limited.

The announcements were made on Wednesday morning at Second Street in Industrial area with FMU Media Liaison officer Frank Kaheru present.

The Rally – the third round of the African and Uganda rally championships – is due May 6-8, 2022.

Fire and Safety will provide all firefighting equipment necessary for the organisation of the event.

Speaking at the handover, General Manager Simon Lwanga said the company was fully in to support the cause of safety in the rally.

East Africa Chain Uganda Limited has offered industrial equipment that may be needed by rally organisers in the safe running of the three-day rally.

It has also provided office space for the rally headquarters.

These join sponsors Vivo Energy Uganda, through its premium brand Shell V-Power among other sponsors.

By press time, thirty-six (36) crews have confirmed their participation, with entries set to close on 23rd April, 2022.
