Preview: SC Villa desperate for maximum points against Mbarara City.
SC Villa will be desperate for maximum points when they host relegation threatened Mbarara City at Njeru in an early kick off game on Tuesday.
The Joggos who are seated 12th with only 25 points are not yet safe from the danger area.
They come into Tuesday’s game having lost two consecutive league games each coming against Express and Onduparaka recently in Arua.
Back at home again, they find themselves in a must win situation if they are to avoid dropping to the red zone with only five games to end the season.
But in Mbarara City, they welcome another side that is also fighting for life and they must be at their best if they are to pick a needed result at home.
Meanwhile, the Visitors Mbarara City also have the same ambitions of picking three points to keep their survival chances alive.
The Ankole Lions currently sit second from the bottom in the 15th position with only 22 points after 25 games!
They come into Tuesday’s game a more motivated team, having ended their long winless streak with a comfortable 3-0 win over Police at Kakyeka last week.
Against Villa, they face a side that is also not safe from the drop zone and it will be a battle of saving lives at Njeru.
With only 5 games to go, each game is now like a final for Sadik Ssempijji’s men starting with Tuesday’s contest.
Solomon Okwalinga scored the only goal as Mbarara City edged Sc Villa 1-0 in the reverse fixture played earlier last year in November at Kakyeka.
SC Villa are currently in the 12th position with 25 points after 25 games.
They have picked two wins and drawn three in their last five league games.
