Preview: The Kongolos aim to return to winning ways
Arua Hill FC will be up against Busoga United in the Startimes Uganda Premier League at the Barifa stadium in Arua as they seek to return to winning ways.
Arua Hill have now gone four consecutive games without a win. All their last four games have ended in draws.
Assistant Coach Ahmad Borin has put the draws on luck which hasn’t been on their side as he expects a positive result in Tuesday game.
“We have so far gone four games without a win, despite playing very well in all those games. We have been affected by luck which hasn’t been on our side,” said Ahmad Borin.
“We expect a positive result against Busoga United though it’s a tough encounter as we play a side fighting against relegation because they will come all out to fight for a win so it’s important for us to double our efforts for a win.”
Borin remains positive on Arua Hill targets of finishing in the top four but he anticipates a tougher run of games ahead as they have to pick positive results from the remaining games.
“Our target is still on as we aim to Finnish in the top four teams in the league but we have to collect positive results from all the remaining games.”
Busoga United who sit 11th on the log with 26 points and just two points above the drop zone will be eager to fight for maximum points in order to stretch their points gap in hunt for relegation survival.
Despite fighting the relegation battle, Busoga United have struggled with form as they have had mixed performances in their last five games winning just once and losing twice with two draws.
They come into the Arua Hill tie after succumbing to a home loss against struggling UPDF FC and Abby Kikomeko coached side will have to punch above their weight if they are to pick a positive result against the Kongolos who have just lost once playing at their home Barifa Stadium.
Arua Hill are unbeaten in their last eight league games as they sit 6th on the log with 40 points. They won the first leg encounter by a 1-0 win as they visited Busoga United and completing a double will ensure they move to joint points with URA FC who occupy the 4th place.
