*Preview: Villa Target Return to Winning Ways
SC Villa will seek to return to winning Ways after suffering a painful loss against rivals Express at Njeru.
They now visit Onduparaka in a daunting trip that will test their character in Arua.
They will target League double over the Caterpillars in order to ease Relegation pressure.
“The whole team wants to back after the defeat against Express,” said Villa coach Petros Koukouras.
“It’s always difficult to lose such games against rivals so all players are very determined to win this one against Onduparaka and hopefully we can go there and get three points.”
Onduparaka hope to revenge against SC Villa who ejected them out of the stanbic Uganda Cup and defeated them in the first round this season.
In the reverse fixture Villa defeated Onduparaka 2-1 at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
Muhammad Shaban had given Onduparaka the lead before Salim Abdallah and Isaac Ogwang completed the come back.
Onduparaka are on a good run of form after winning their last three games.
Coming into this game, Muhammad Shaban hatrick and a goal from Emmanuel Okech inspired Onduparaka to a 4-1 victory over Police FC whose only goal was scored by Juma Balinya from the spot at the MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
Speaking ahead of the game, Onduparaka FC Technical Director Dudu Bosco said his players are ready for the challenge and everyone wants to play adding that they worked mainly on finishing.
“I must say we all pleased by the performance of our players at the moment, you see the competition in training everyone wants to play and as such the players are all flying” said Dudu while addressing the club media on Thursday.
“I even have the selection problem at the moment but that is very healthy for a club so I know they are going to play very good football”.
“You know West Nilers are like Spanish they enjoy total football and that is the kind of football that we want Onduparaka FC to play”.
“We are not going necessarily to look for wins in dirty ways but we want to get wins convincingly when our fans are satisfied”.
“We lost to Villa in circumstances that those who watched knew but I think the biggest problem has been missing chances and the last two, three days our training has been on finishing”
