Cricket Cranes Conclude Namibia Tour On High

Cricket Cranes beat Namibia by three Wickets to tie the 50 over series 1-1 and end the tour on a strong note.

It has been a good campaign for Uganda who also earlier won one of the three T20 matches played.

Simon Ssesazi stood out on Thursday after his patient knock of 82 runs off 86 balls helped Uganda successfully overcome Namibia’s 267/6.

Ssesazi hit 10 boundaries ( 7 4s and 3 6s) to give Uganda a fighting chance. It was a good tour for Ssesazi who also scored two half centuries in the T20s earlier.

Cosmas Kyewuta, Dinesh Nakrani, Riazat Ali Shah and Henry Ssenyondo picked a wicket each as Uganda limited Namibia to 269.

Emmanuel Hasahya (19) and Arnold Otwani (1) both gave away their wickets cheaply as Ssesazi struggled to find a partner on the crease.

But when Ssesazi caught by Baard Stephan in the 26th Over, Uganda was 136/3.

Dinesh Nakrani and Riazat scored 45 and 43 respectively as Uganda crawled to the finishing line.

The win gives Uganda more confidence ahead of the Challenge League B that will be hosted in Kampala due June 14-28.
