All roads will lead to YMCA in Wandegeya ahead of two basketball events organised by Native Sports International.

The two competitions are dubbed Lord of the Rims (1×1) and Game of Zones (3×3) which will see participants walk away with a couple of goodies.

The entrance fee is Free!

The ‘Game of Zones’ event is a partnership between Native Sports and UGZGATHOOPERS and will have 16 teams (already confirmed) face off with Sh2m at stake for the overall winner.

The organisers have ensured each team gets a player from NBL, Div1, D.league and a Lady

A 3×3 tourney at Lugogo.

Nelson Mukwaya, the Managing Director of Native Sports, said that they hope to grow into a major tournament that will dominate the Easter Holidays on the FUBA basketball Calenders as they seek to lay a brick on the growth of the game of basketball in Uganda.

“We feel it will be more open, to make for an exciting, unpredictable, Good Friday basketball experience,” stated Mukwaya.

“We are looking to grow into a premier Easter Holidays Basketball competition, to feature the best players from all over Africa, while keeping an avenue of growth for young talent in the African region.”

The Lord of the rims event will add to the day’s thrill. Eight(8) players have been chosen to jostle for the gong, which will feature the defending champion, Burundi based former Kyambogo warrior, player Stanley Mugerwa.
