Preview: URA seek to Close the gap with leaders Vipers
URA FC will be targeting maximum points to close the gap with leaders Vipers when they host them on Tuesday at the Arena of Visions, Ndejje Bombo.
The Tax Collectors are currently third on the log with 43 points, nine below the Venoms!
And on Tuesday, they find themselves in a must win situation so as to keep pressure on the Kitende based side with only six games left on their menu.
They come into this tie off a 2-0 loss to Bul FC and they must react when they welcome Venoms to keep up in the race.
The Tax men will be banking on the good run they have enjoyed against Vipers, winning two of their last meetings at Bombo.
A win for URA on Tuesday will see them reduce the gap to only six points and as well dispatch KCCA FC in the second position.
Meanwhile, leaders Vipers will be seeking to stretch their lead at the top when they take a visit at the Arena of Visions.
They find themselves on top with 52 points after 22 games, nine points above the Tax Collectors who are seated third.
But in URA, they face a side that has always been stubborn to them whenever they meet and it was URA that handed them their first league loss this season at Kitende.
It’s a big test for Roberto Oliveira’s men and they must show character if they are to pick a needed result against a tricky URA side.
With one of the title chasers KCCA having dropped points on Monday, it is an advantage for Vipers and they must use this chance well against URA before they make another tricky visit to Lugogo this Saturday.
Joakim Ojera and Cromwel Rwothomio were on target as URA picked a 2-0 win over Vipers at Kitende in the reverse fixture.
