Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Disciplinary Committee has issued out fines to two UPL Clubs.
The said Clubs are Wakiso Giants and Busoga United over fans hooliganism that brought the game into disrepute.
Each of the clubs will pay Sh1m for breaching Competition Rules in their respective matches.
FUFA says that Wakiso Giants fans threw bottles on the pitch during their league match against SC Villa at Wakissha on Wednesday March 30.
The ugly scenes saw the match halted in added time for about seven minutes.
SC Villa went on to win the match 2-1 courtesy of goals from Fred Gift and Benson Muhindo while Moses Aliro scored for Wakiso Giants who also had Simon Namwanja sent off.
The Purple Sharks have been given a one-point and one-goal suspended sentence – This means that Wakiso Giants will be deducted one point and a goal if their fans repeat the acts of hooliganism.
Busoga United have been fined after their fans invaded the pitch with the intention of attacking the officials of BUL FC at the end of game of the Jinja Derby in Kakindu stadium on Friday 25th March.
The Derby ended in a one all draw after Karim Ndugwa equalised late for the visitors to cancel out Elvis Ngonde early lead for Busoga United.
