Preview: Do or Die for Bright Stars
Soltilo Bright Stars will be going for nothing else but maximum points when they host Busoga United at Kavumba in their battle to beat relegation.
They currently lie in 14th position with 20 points, four adrift of safety.
The hosts, coming into this at the back of a goalless draw against UPDF in their last encounter at Kavumba, cannot afford to slip again.
They have only had one win in the last five home games at Kavumba, actually they have only managed 3 wins at home this season so far, include a 1-0 against TOORO.
Such is not a statistic for a team that can keep their place in the league the following season!
However, coach Paul Kiwanuka believes that his side has done good homework and is confident that he will take all the three points.
“The preparations have been good since our last game which was a goalless draw where we wanted maximum points but we didn’t manage that, so we have prepared well so that we achieve we achieve our target,” Kiwanuka said.
“The return of Marvin and Loki is a big boost to our team because they are going to fill the gap felt in previous game where we didn’t have them.”
On the hand, the visitors are not far from red zone, just four points above danger. They seat in 11th place with 25 points from 23 games.
Busoga United have had unpleasant visits this season; they have only registered three away wins so far, with their last one coming early last month which was a 1-0 against Villa after 3-1 in November against Tooro and a 2-0 in their league opener against Gaddafi.
Talking to team captain Anthony Mayanja, he said that that they cant afford to lose their momentum right now which even saw them beat resilient rock bottom Tooro in their last game.
“We can’t afford to slip again because the pressure down there is very very hard to contain, so we are treating each game as a final, we are ready to give in our very best even in this one as well,” Mayanja said.
