Onduparaka 0-1 SC Villa – Green light stadium
Benson Muhindo scored the all important goal as SC Villa eliminated Onduparaka in the stanbic Uganda cup round of 16 to reach the last eight.
Muhindo scored in the 9th minute of the game to give SC Villa an early lead in the game.
Onduparaka tried to rally back in the game with a flurry of attacks but their efforts went unrewarded.
Shaban Muhammad almost secured the Caterpillars equaliser but he forced goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto into a save.
Gabriel Matata who was also returning from injury was denied by the crossbar.
With just few minutes to the end of the first stanza, Shaban was yet again denied by the crossbar as his fine effort beat Ssenkooto but hit the frame.
In the second half, goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga suffered a concussion and was replaced by Michael Kagiri.
Onduparaka kept pushing for goal but they failed to penetrate through the Jogoos defence.
Emmanuel Oketch missed from close range as his header went above the crossbar off a beautiful cross brought in by Gabriel Matata as the game ended in the jogoos favour.
SC Villa have repeated the same result as last year when the eliminated Onduparaka with the same score on the same round.
They now complete a list of eight teams that have progressed to the quarter finals.
