Onduparaka Vs SC Villa – Green light stadium
SC Villa are in West Nile to face hosts Onduparaka FC in the pending Stanbic Uganda cup round of 16 tie for a place in the last eight.
The will seek to repeat the same fate as they did last year on the same round as they eliminated Onduparaka by a 1-0 aggregate score to reach the quarter finals.
But Onduparaka will bank on their league form and the home advantage to storm Quarters.
Villa eliminated arch rivals Express FC on the round of 32 in a penalty shootout will face a huge test playing away from home against a resilient Onduparaka who eliminated Tooro United after a 2-1 score at the same ground to book a slot in the last 16.
Both sides face hard times in the league as they are fighting to beat the drop zone – SC Villa sit 10th on the log with 25 points, just a point above Onduparaka in the 13th position.
The winner will join several UPL sides who booked their slots already in Uganda Cup quarters. Vipers, Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City and BUL FC.
FUFA Big league side Maroons and regional league sides Mbale and Booma FC are also in the Quarterfinals.
