MYDA FC has officially lost their place in next season’s FUFA Big League after a 5-0 thumping against Luweero United at the Kosovo grounds.

The loss left MYDA FC 10th on the log, second from the bottom, with 11 points from 17 games played so far.

With three games to go, MYDA FC cannot finish above red zone even if they win their remaining matches.

Coming into Thursday’s tie, MYDA only needed a win against Luweero so as to keep their relegation battle alive.

A loss on match day 17 can only confirm that MYDA FC will end the big league season on 20 points if they can collect maximum points in the remaining three games.

They join Nyamityobora as the other relegated side from this season’s Big League, with one slot yet to be confirmed.

It has been a quick downfall for MYDA FC who played in Uganda Premier League a season back!

They have won just two games and drawn five os far, with the loss against Luweero being their 10th this season.

They have managed to score 15 goals but veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma has netted 10 of the tally.

Their next game will come at home as they host Kitara FC at King George IV memorial stadium in Tororo.

They will spend the entire season of 2022/2023 in the Easter regional league as they fight their way back to Big league.
