Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka have nominated five players for the Best Player of the month of March.
The list includes Skipper Muhammad Shaban and other four who will compete for the a cash prize of UGX 300,000 and an accolade courtesy for shirt sponsors Ababet.
Other players who are nominated are Defender Amayo Ahmed, Ojara Dennis, Mansoor Safi Agu and Emmanuel Okech Janan.
The winner will be decided by fans after a vote on Facebook and Twitter using Hash Tag #ONDUPoTM plus Name of player to vote until Thursday 31st March midnight and the winner will be announced on Friday 1st April.
Onduparaka played four matches in March; winning two against Mbarara City and Wakiso Giants, a loss to URA and a draw with Gadaffi FC.
Gadaffi FC’s game ended goalless at the Ababet stadium on Tuesday 1st Match.
In the 2-1 loss to URA on Tuesday 8th March at the Arena of Visons, Mansoor Safi cancelled out Steven Mukwala first half goal before Ibrahim Dada restored the host’s lead.
On Wednesday 16th, Onduparaka defeated Mbarara City 1-0 at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium courtesy of Captain Muhammad Shaban Muhammad goal before their 2-1 victory over Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium Wakissha – Goals from Norman Ogik and Emmanuel Oketch while Sam Senyonjo was on target for the Purple Sharks.
Their last game of the month was supposed to be against leaders Vipers at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium but was postponed due to International engagements.
Onduparaka are 11th on the log with 24 points after 22 matches.
