Pilsner UPL Awards: URA Duo Scoop February Gongs

URA FC duo of Timbe Sam and Mukwala Steven were on Mondsy announced as the Pilsner Lager Coach and player of the Month of January/February.

The two takes home Sh1m and a plaque courtesy of sponsors Pilsner Lager.

The gongs are rewards to URA FC’s impressive performance in the two concluded months, and the side sit eight points below leaders Vipers SC.

Timbe helped URA win five of the seven games played in the period.

The gaffer beat Roberto Oliveira (Vipers) and Morley Byekwaso (KCCA).

“First of all, I want to thank Pilsner for supporting us in such a hard time,” started Timbe.

“I am glad to be named the best ahead of all other 15 coaches in the league. I just returned in the league and I am very happy to have won this.

“I am proud of my players, and I believe they can help this team win the league title this season.”

Mukwala scored 6 goals in 4 games against Soltilo Bright Stars, BUL, Gadaffi and KCCA.

He also had one assist and won two Pilsner Lager Man of the Match Awards to earn himself the Player of the Month Award.

Mukwala said: “This has been all about hard work. This pushes me to achieve more this season, I feel so delighted to have won this award, am a hard working player and I can still win the Golden boot.”

URA FC will return to league action against Onduparaka at Arena of Visions on Tuesday.
