Big league: Kataka Hold Maroons At Luzira

Kataka played out a 0-0 draw with Maroons FC in the FUFA Big league game played at prisons playground in Luzira.

The hosts dominated in the first half but missed a couple of chances including one where Solomon Wulusimbi missed from close range.

Abraham Tusubira missed a brilliant chance to put the hosts ahead as he was set up by Fred Amaku for a keeper to beat but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Edward Kasibante.

Kasibante was later called into action as he kept Kataka FC in the game with a save, keeping out a shot from Ceaser Olega while Musa Sali missed a close range header for the hosts.

In the second period of the game, Maroons were eager for a goal but only to be stopped by Edward Kasibante who had a busy day in goal and managed to keep his feet on the ground with a couple of saves.

Solomon Walusimbi was denied by Kasibante who also kept out a shot from Opio Belmos as Kataka picked up a vital point in the 0-0 draw away from home.

A point ensures that Kataka maintain their spot in the top three teams vying to qualify for the top their division. They sit third on 25 points with just a point below Maroons in second and two behind table leaders Blacks power.
