Mawokota 0-1 Bulemeezi

Gabriel Eragu scored the all important goal as Bulemeezi edged Mawokota to finish in the 2021 Masaza Cup tournament.
The two sides had met in a third place play off game held at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The opening exchanges saw a closely contested affair as two sides tried to settle in a hot Sunny conditions at Kitende.
Before half time, Bulemeezi had two good opportunities to score first but Akiram Muzanyi shot wide when outside the area before Sulaimani Ssesazi saw his free kick parried away for a corner.
At the restart of the second half, Mawokota returned back a more rejuvenated side but looked blunt on many occasions whenever in the final third.
Godfrey Ssekibengo had the best chance for Mawokota but he saw his effort hit the post before being cleared by Bulemeezi goalkeeper Tonny Atugonza.
Bulemeezi who were at the receiving end remained composed and waited for their turn to kill off the game.
And in the 78th minute, Eragu rose highest to head in home off a well delivered cross from John Ben Nakibinge and his goal was the difference on the day.
In the closing stages, Mawokota will feel un lucky after substitute Dan Kazibwe’s goal was ruled for offside.
Victory ensured that Bulemeezi finished third and they walk away with a cash prize of Sh7m while Mawokota finish fourth and take home Sh5m.
The long awaited final will come at 3pm as Buddu take on Buwekula at the same venue in Kitende.
