BUL FC Head Coach Alex Isabirye says he can’t ask for a trophy since it will be a hard task for his players and some may go Awol from training.
Fourth-placed BUL FC ran riot against UPDF at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe with a convincing 5-1 victory.
Simon Peter Oketch scored a brace, Karim Ndugwa, Ibrahim Kazindula and Richard Wandyaka were on target for the Eastern Giants while Walter Ochora’s own goal was the only consolation for the Army side.
Despite a 5-1 victory, Isabirye says it wasn’t an easy win most especially in the first half but they managed to improve in the second half.
“The game was good am happy, winning 5-1 against a team which is from drawing with Vipers a big club here in Uganda wasn’t easy,” said Isabirye while addressing the club media after the game.
BUL went into the break with a 2-goal lead after Karim Ndugwa and Simon Peter Oketch strikes but added more three goals in the second half with Oketch completing his brace, Ibrahim Kazindula from the spot and Richard Wandyaka on target.
“As you saw in the first half it was abit hard but we managed to score 3 goals in the second half”.
“So we are going back to planning to see how we are going into our next match”.
BUL are 4th on the log with 33 points after 19 matches, 10 points below leaders Vipers.
“If you see at my squad and those three big teams there’s a very big difference, Vipers has about eight national team players when you look at URA they have good senior players”.
“When I ask for a cup these players won’t even appear for training so we shall be planning game to game”.
Simon Peter Oketch who scored a double was named the Pilsner Man of Match.
“I feel so happy for being the man of the match and the team Winning the game as well as being in a position we are in now” Oketch speaking to the club media
Oketch scored his third goal in two league matches adds that they handled UPDF with care and he’s grateful they managed to overcome them but states his goals do not come by mistake but he trains them.
“UPDF is a strong team we had to handle them with care but not fearing them”.
