Uganda Premier league side SC Villa have relieved goalkeeping coach Kiberu Mubarak and second assistant Richard Amatre of their duties.
These new developments were confirmed through a letter released by the club on Tuesday 1st March.
During a club executive committee meeting held earlier last month on 26th, the club reached a decision to let go of Kiberu and Amatre following the poor run of results at the club.
The statement from the club reads: “In a meeting of the Club Executive committee held on the 26th day of February, 2022 the item regarding the performance of the club was tabled for discussion by the members.
“The technical person will and one player attended this meeting and after hearing from them, the committees made a decision to relieve coach Amatre Richard and Coach Kiberu Mubarak of their duties at the club.
It has also been confirmed that the two were made aware of these new developments and thus the changes are not new to their ears.
These changes come at a time when the club has had a poor run of results under Greek coach Petros Koukouras, collecting only four wins in as many games this season.
They are currently sitted in the 11 th position with 18 points after 18 games so far.
With the latest changes, Koukouras job remains uncertain after the sacking of the two said technical staff members.
